I work at an elementary school in the school system that I grew up in and am considered to be the computer teacher, though I am not certified to teach. I mostly maintain the computer lab and troubleshoot problems in the school.

My mother is a former English/Literature teacher and is now head media speciliast/librarian at one of the local middle schools.

My late father, was both Personnel Administrator (1983-1994) (meaning he hired teachers) and head of Special Education (1974-1983) in this school system.

Many of the teachers that I had while in school knew and were fond of my dad, as he was either the guy who had given them their jobs or had helped them take care of problems with the superintendent, as he was also considered an assistant superintendent. In fact, my current boss was one of the last people hired by my father.

I took this job as a last resort, as I graduated with a telecommunications degree in summer 2001 and there were really no jobs available for me. It doesn't pay a whole lot, but it has great benefits and I enjoy working with the wee children...sometimes.

I am a history/social studies teacher by degree.

I have babysat, taught and tutored students from preschool through high school.

My last two years as a teacher were private first grade. The final year was a class of all boys. It was a blast.

I now work in sales, selling camera surveillance systems to schools for use on their buses.

Do I win anything?

Thank god we can edit, or I would have looked even MORE ironic with my spelling, etc.

You will probably not believe this, but I am a teacher, and I am currently in Grad School at night. Yes, I come here to unwind.
