Will stories based upon previous categories be accepted, or just the current themes?

For instance, if I have a zombie tale I'd like to write...

I was actually going to ask the same thing. I have someone that wrote me a while ago about a zombie story and I told him to wait for the re-design.

I shall let him know.

I have a question regarding this whole "pitch" thing -- do we have to e-mail first with an idea of what the story is about, then wait for a yea or nay to send the story? That's what using a word like "pitch" sounds like....

I want to know what's cooking in order to...

A. HYPE THEM

B. LET WRITERS KNOW IF THEY'RE DOING VERY SIMILAR STORIES

C. HAVE SOMETHING SO I CAN CHECK BACK WITH THE WRITER ON THIER PROGRESS AS DEADLINE NEARS

I'm working on a zombie tale: Working title -- In the Zone of Repetitive Motion; and a tale called Indiana Jones and the Pit of Cassandra. Zombies will probably shamble to you first.

I have two possible endings for a story that is cooking in my head. When I finally get around to writing it should I send in both endings and let the readers pick wich one they want to read? or should I choose and send it in with just one of the two?

I finally decided on using the weirder ending because the other ending would be just too abrupt.

Now sitting down and writing it is a much tougher battle I must face. Expect me to send in the story in about a month to two years wink

Writing *sighs* If only I could download the story from my mind directly into MSword.

Ok, some questions:

1. I've got a non-genre piece about a young girl in a mental hospital and her delusionary fantasy world. Much of the action takes place in her delusion, so does that count as a fantasy genre piece?

2. What about poetry? Do you all take that?

3. I've also got a couple of other non-genre pieces I've been working on, can I send those in?

4. As for stories, I've got a couple of Indy Jones stories, one short two to three pager called Indiana Jones and the Ghost of Fine Hall , a longer Indy-LOTR crossover called Indiana Jones and the Lost Ring , and at least one SW fan fiction piece based on prequel trilogy material called The Wedding of The Millenium . With the way things are going Indy Jones and the Ghost of Fine Hall should come to you first.
