What I mean is do you feel empowerment knowing you can control peoples emotions without ever knowing them?

Thats the whole reason I want to get into the movie biz.

Same here. You have no idea how wonderful it felt to me to hear one of my filmmaking teachers laugh at a lighthearted point in my first student film.

I remember how good I feel after a great movie and I want to make other people feel the way that I do. I want to share my emotions with others in both an extremely personal and far reaching way.

Absolutely, each story/screenplay i write i want to know the emotions the person reading it went through.
I like evoking pleasure through reading and ultimately through a directors eyes when they relay it to the screen (hopefully).

That's great! While I haven't made any kind of short or anything I've gotten emotional responses out of my writing and it is a great feeling. Is it the manipulation of words or the ability to express our own emotions that have put us on this path? I mean do you need a deep understanding of emotions in order to truly express that in writing or film or is it more of just how to put the words or pictures together to evoke the right response?

Also what is your favorite emotion? I'm sure that being where we are lends Fear to be the most popular around here and it is definitely my favorite. Fear causes so much more of a physical and visibly emotional response than any other I think. When I eventually get the opportunity to do something if people leave nail marks in the armrests then I will have accomplished my goal!

My best moment was a theater full of people laughing at a comedy I shot, at all the right places. It means more to hear that than to have all the back patting in the world.

As for the favorite emotion, I want to make people cry. That would be my greatest accomplishment to touch someone so deeply that they lose control of their emotions.
