Say that 10 times really fast I dare ya!

So what are some of the ultra creative areas in the U.S.?

I've been told by so many people that I should move to Hollywood but I have to be honest it's impossible for me to leave Chicago! I was thinking about this on my way home from the city the other night and Chicago to me is inspiring. There is such a strong sense of art and community here that isn't pretentious in the least compared to other places. It just seems to me that leaving Chicago would be leaving a large part of who I am and what makes me different than the thousands of Kubrick wannabees in Hollywood.

Any thoughts?

Gotta agree. Hollywood is where all these shite ideas come from. But basically if you wanna get around in the industry its best to at least get clse to it. Im going to San Francisco, for film school, which is close enough for the time being. Doubt it'll affect me much, i was never much for following others, always went my own way. I think if you just go do your own thing, being around the fakeness of hollywood shouldnt change you.

Course you could always go the indy route and stay even closer to your Chicago roots, do it yourself. Always gotta repsect that the most.

there are plenty of other creative areas in the U.S. Don't leave if you don't want to, just understand that it may be harder to get your stuff noticed.

As for the other question about other creative areas for filmmaking, Austin, Texas is huge.
