Locations...Real or Studio?

Which do u prefer to shoot at?
I know that obviously u get more control over the elements in a studio and obviously it can help with the budget if ur not shipping everything around all the time but which is ur preference?.
me i love filming on location, it definately makes the flick seem more real to me, plus u can have a lot of fun with it.
I appreciate a studio set-up but do prefer the look, especially the interior shots, of a location.

Anyone?

I am much more a fan (in theory) of real settings. it just feels more organic and I believe it can also have a good affect on the actors. Get them in the creative mindset. Get inspired. Studios diffenetly give you control over things but I am idealistic of the effect a real enviornment can have on a movie.

I really like the real thing. It does limit you somewhat, but it has a real sense of life to it.

I also prefer the real thing, it makes a movie more, well...real. I understand the benifits of shooting in studio but whenever possible, I'd prefer to shoot on location.

I give you Streets of Fire. Totally studio, totally cool.

This was a film that made it perfectly clear they were on a soundstage. And it worked.

I remember seeing the set too at Universal...really cool piece of work. I love studios and sets.
