I'm fully into my second full-length screenplay. The first one was written in college and can only be described as "poorly-realised". I've worked on many things since then, but this is the first time I've actually got to the dialog stage on another feature.
I orginally wrote it as a short that I was going to shoot myself, but could never get my friends to (actually) work for free or the money to pay competant help.
I've got about a third of it done. Most of the major scenes are written and most everything else is in treatment form.
Anyway, I typically don't talk about works in progress but...
"It is a coming of age story about a girl, who has discovered that she is a witch and the only person who knows the identity of her parent's killer. She sets out to take revenge."
The basic set-up isn't anything too new. However, I have spent a great deal of time and effort to establish witches and humans as two completely different species. I'm taking advantage of some dark-ages in history to fill in the gaps between the history of the two species.
All I'm really try to do is finally write the great american horror movie.
