-Edward Norton
-Sarah Michelle Gellar
-Amy Acker

Well without doubt

1. Clint Eastwood
2. Al Pacino.
3. Richard Burton (if i could go back )

To me most of the other actors out there are pretty looking flavour-of-the-months, they do seem like fun but i would love to work with a true professional, you know a master of his art.
These guys have more ability in one eyebrow than 98% of the 'actors' out there, well IMO anyway.

Katharine Isabelle is kind of a lesser known actor, she played Ginger in Ginger Snaps, she had a bit part in Insomnia and a bit part in that horrid Carrie remake and I think she might have been on the X-files or something. I'd post a picture of her but I don't know how to post pictures, anyone wanna help me out with that by the way?

you need to have a host site like geocities. Then u upload the pic to that and then either link to the pic on here or use the following:

<img src="&lt;weblink&gt;" alt="" />

And that will paste the pic in here.

If I could afford a "real actor" for my next feature length movie it would be

BRUCE CAMPBELL

A friend of mine shot a movie recently called Sam and Janet and he got Gary Busey for it. He said Busey was more trouble than he was worth and would not do it again, except he had to have a "name actor" to sell it. He also had Ryan Brown (Guiding Light, Young and the Restless) but that was not enough to secure financing. Everyone else in it was homegrown talent including the VERY talented Anna Beck (a girl who actually read for one of my movies that I did not use, ubfortunatly), Jennifer Ferguson and Blake Wolney (known on the radio as The Blade Runner for those in Atlanta and Oklahoma).

He said that all you need to get money is one name actor. Busey was it for him. I would not touch him after I heard the horror stories of the shoot.

Hugh Jackman
Tony Leung
Mira Sorvino
Michael Ironside
Nick Tse
Chow Yun-Fat
Cathy Tsui

Gunnar Hansen

yeah. there were lots of horror stories about Busey.

1. Rick had to fly select cast and crew to California to shoot Busey's scenes there. The reason was that Busey wanted first class plane tickets for him, his girlfriend, his agent and select friends, the best rooms in the most expensive hotel in town and limo service for everyone involved (girlfriend, agent, etc.) It ended up being cheaper to fly people to California. Of course, this meant shooting Busey's scenes in a different location than the other cast members and editing it together.

2. Busey waited until Rick was in California with the cast and crew to tell him that he wanted to be paid in cash, half up front, or he would walk. Rick did not bring $10,000 in cash with him. If you have ever tried to cash a check for a large amount, you will know the trouble Rick had to go through. He had to go to a large number of check cashing places, writing checks for their maximum amounts, and then being late for the shoot because Busey waited till the last minute to spring this on him. Busey wanted only cash, and that was that. Rick was warned not to pay him all of it in cash up front, or Busey would "snort it all away and be worthless the entire shoot." This was warning from the talent agent who lined Busey up. Nice.

3. Speaking of that, Busey would dissapear for periods of time into the bathroom. When he would xome back out he would be almost crazed, bouncing off walls. Not much imagination to know WHAT he was doing in there.

4. Here is something to watch out for. The old school actors (Busey, Donald Sutherland and others) have a knack of wanting as many close ups as they can have. To accomplish this, they would mess up the scenes that are two shots to force the close ups to be used. Busey tried this a few times. Because Ryan Brown could not make the trip to California, Busey was told where Brown would be and then Busey would proceed to place his arm where Brown should be, which would screw everything up. They were then forced to use close ups in editing. Another time, he was in a scene with a very talented local actress named Verna Vaughan. When they were filming the two shot of them, he would proceed to tip the table, causing things to fall. Rick had an $85,000 budget and only had so much film he could use. Luckily, Vaughan saw what he was doing and on one take, when he bumped the table, she caught the ashtray and cigarette, took a puff and continued her line without pause. They used that take. Brilliant.

Even with a soap opera star, Rick could not get the full financing because money people know you need a "name" star to sell it for enough to make the money back. Rick needed Busey, so he had to bite his lip and work through it. Too bad, because Busey was the lesser talent of the group.

That sounds horrible. What an ass. I realize the guy plays alot of roles that are meant to great on ones nerves but he always seems to go above and beyond. What a catch 22. The investors want the big name talent seemingly to make more money but if they would have gone with lesser known talent it probably would have turned out better. The guy obviously has no respect for the filmmaker.
That would explain why he's stuck being a jackass in B movies. His sons waaay better IMHO, ever since the Frighteners.
I really liked his son in IDENTITY. It is really scary how much he looks like his dad, though.
