Movies that you would do over, and how.

Just for fun, I'm curious if the're any movies that you chaps would do over if you had the chance.

See I had a huge problem with Full Moon's Blood Dolls. This plot for this film is too absurd and stupid to be taken seriously. But as a horror/musical comedy it would be great! If I had the chance I'd remake it into this big Rocky Horror Picture Show-esque movie.

The same goes for Scream 3. I would have revealed Dewy as the killer. How's that for a slap in the face?

I am a huge fan of the original Thomas Crown Affair, I would have loved to remake it; but, since that has been done already, and not too bad either, I woldn't touch it now.

I would love to one day get to a point where I could get the rights to Bond and turn it back into a cool franchise. That would be fun. Right now I would say go back to a period more literal adaption of the books (read the books, Bond is much moir noirish).

Enter the Ninja would be a fun film to remake. Better fight choreography and a more cohesive plot would be cool.

I guess if I had to remake a film it would be more pop pieces than anything. Most smaller films I like just the way they are.

Of course, I still want to direct my first film, so let me get back to writing that.

I'd produce a re-make of Queen of the Dammned directed by Jordan and starring TC.

I would redo White Oleander. If anyone has read the book they know that the movie did not live up to it at all. I would get rid of most of the actors in that movie and try to find people that had a better feel to them. I don't know who exactly but I just thought the acting was very flat. I would also redo the whole script. It would be a much longer movie when I got my hands on it but it would be worth it. There are some wonderful things in the book that would really make things more interesting in the movie.

Stephen King's Silver Bullet, but restoring it to the novel title of CYCLE OF THE WEREWOLF.

1995's Haunted from James Herberts novel.
And like Fett it would deal more with the novel rather than just stealing the idea.

Korean movie "Attack the Gas Station"

Love the hell out of this movie.

if i remade it, i'd just want to add some more western humor.

Speaking of "Scream 3", how about doing Scream 2 over again and not killing Jamie Kennedy's character, the movie geek, Randy Meeks. I hate that part where he is stabbed to death. The worst mistake they could have made was to kill off the best character in the Scream franchise.

Men in Black II

They could have done something really great with this film but instead they decided to use this movie to show off. First of all I would bring back Linda Fiorentino and I would set up Charlie Kaufman with the comic's creator to write the script with Spike Jonze directing.

The biggest mistake Men in Black II made was thinking that since the world was in danger in the first movie means that they have to have a bigger danger in the second. They were wrong. if they made the movie and threat more personal it could have been much better.

How about redoing Scream and making it a decent horror that doesn't suck?

Oh hell, I am going to confess it...I don't like the Scream movies. I am such a freaking Jamie Kennedy fan, it's hard to admit that. The only thing I liked about those movies was watching Jamie's Randy Meeks. I love how he ranted about the principles of horror films, and of course, I felt sorry that he couldn't get the girl. I just didn't understand what what supposed to be clever about the Scream movies. It didn't ring as a satire for me. The actiing, with the exception of the above, was atrocious.

jetsorm66, your post is interesting, but I think this is what is called hijacking a thread...uh oh. My fault.

I'd like to do a phantom edit of Vanilla Sky, using only songs from Radiohead's Kid A on the soundtrack.

I think De Palma's The Fury could be great if updated properly.

Mission:Impossible would actually have an IMF force instead of just Tom Cruise saving the day.

The end of "Star Trek: Generations" would have Kirk going back into the Nexus. Once inside the Nexus a wide shot has Kirk sitting next to a blonde woman, both are huddled together looking at something. A close-up shows it to be an infant. Kirk then picks the baby up and playfully tosses it in the air. The woman is of course Carol Marcus.

FADE OUT

Star Trek: Nemesis should have resolved the Spock/Romulan storyline leftover from TNG series.
Spock, now married to Saavik, would have been on Romulus contining in his efforts to re-unite the cultures.
Picard gets wind of a an assasinatioin attempt and must come to the rescue.
It later revealed that Spock and Saavik have a son.
