APEX AD-600A DVD Player...

I've got a question about this, but before I get into the details I was just wondering if anyone actually HAS one. No need in wasting my time with all that typing nonsense if you don't...

Dang, I just typed all that. How ironic.

Okay, let's see if maybe you can help me out with this. I've got my Apex hooked up through a surround sound receiver. When I first hooked it up, the surround would work perfectly fine. Sometime soon after it was hooked up, I hit a button on the remote and the words "Surround Off" popped up on the screen. Now, the surround won't work (it's all in Stereo).

Now, I've tried hitting the Surround button on the remote, but it just keeps saying "Surround Off" on the screen. How in the world do I turn that into "Surround ON?" It's driving me nuts.

Note: The DTS is working fine, because it's a different output. But Dolby 5.1 isn't coming through correctly. If anyone can help, please do!

Sorry, I haven't done this, and I'm sure not going to now...

No results from a quick Google search, either. Sorry.

I didn't take the time to scan all the posts. However <a href="http://www.nerd-out.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=6&sid=e4897f1cf74ebc0fd82223b1c876 f164" target="_blank">this</a> is the best place to search for your answer.

It's also a big piece o' shit of a DVD player. Atleast a third of all AD600A's I sold came back defective.

Having used one of this quite a bit, I've never encountered that specific problem. Wish I still had access to one because I could probably help you.
