All region NTSC format

Will DVD's encoded in this format work on a Region 1 DVD player?

Yes. NTSC is the natural American setup, so it's cool. It's only if they're PAL (which is the UK setup) that you might need to worry.

I only play DVDs on my computor

will my DVD-ROM play Discs that are in
NTSC format ..in other words will they
play on my Monitor as opposed to my TV

i live in the UK so my TV wont support
them ..i think

Most standard UK players nowadays have NTSC to PAL conversion. It might just be a case of slipping a switch at the back, or it might do it automatically.

Your DVD-ROM should also play them, assuming it is Region Free. Region coding is the only major stumbling block.
