I just bought this at Best Buy on clearance for $199. This is the exact same setup that is listed in this week's ad, but without the control unit. That set is $899.
It delivers great sound out of two small front speakers and a powerful subwoofer. The box says it was designed for PC gaming, but I'm using it as a home theater due to my apartment lifestyle, and it is awesome. Bose equipment in general kicks ass, but this set is amazing at such a low price. The two speakers simulate surround sound like you wouldn't believe. I actually felt the floor shaking during the opening sequence of The Terminator. The controls are limited, but I don't feel the need to change anything right now, and I can easily run it through a receiver later on if I wish. There are options for connecting via A/V, digital coax and optical.
I'm now a happier man.
