From playing in the browser>?

I'm sick and tired of vid links that start up in the browser.

How do I stop this seed of Satan?

Try to use <a href="http://www.mozilla.org" target="_blank">mozilla</a>

It's open source, faster, stops pop-ups, and is generally all around better, no windows media player interfering.

HOW TO FIX YOUR PROBLEM:

With your browser open, click the MEDIA button on the toolbar above the address toolbar. This should open that annoying sidebar. Look at the bottom where it says MEDIA OPTIONS and click once, go to SETTINGS and uncheck "Play web media in the bar." That should stop the sidebar from popping up.

Another browser option that I found to be an improvement over IE is AVANT BROWSER. It's an Opera-based browser with multiple improvements and is free. I've used it for almost a year now. It has a pop-up blocker among other things. You can download it <a href="http://www.avantbrowser.com/" target="_blank">here</a>.

Yeah, Mozilla works pretty nice. I'm using 1.0 because it has been the least buggy for me. I love the tabbed browsing. I also use Opera from time to time. Tabbed browsing, plus it can restart at the last pages you had open. A lazy way to have multiple home pages for sites you are always visiting.

Yeah, Avant Browser is a tabbed browser as well. It features a Google search, safe recovery and several other cool features. It's like the best of Opera and IE combined.

Thank you for putting me onto this browser. I liked Opera for the tabbed features, but hated the engine it used. This is exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks again.

This Avant Browser is pretty sweet. I've been using it all day and no hangs or anything. The Phreak strikes again.
