3-button mouse and MAYA

So to take full advantage of my cable modem connection last night I immediately downloaded MAYA Personal Learning Edition. The thing is one of the system requirements is a 3-button mouse.

Question: Does the clicking scroll wheel count as the third button?

Because when I search online for 3-button mice I keep getting illustrations and descriptions of mice which say 3-button but have two buttons and the scroll wheel.

Hey, if I don't have to get a new mouse I won't.

Yeah, you can push down on the scroll wheel, using it as the third button. That's probably the only kind of three button mouse out there anymore.

I had since discovered this. There are three-button mice in the UNIX world, which I love. And there are three-button Windows mice available.

Now my issue is OpenGL Hardware Acceleration...
