Software/Internet/CHUD question

The situation: New installation, Windows 2000 Pro. After a few *.dll's and a hiccup with my Earthlink setup I'm finally going online just fine except one thing...I keep having to re-login here at CHUD.

I've set the whole chud.com domain to be of the "trusted" variety and yet nothing. I still keep having to login each time I sever my connection and reconnect.

Is this happening with anybody else? Have I overlooked some other cookie enabling feature(which I've set pretty loose just to try this thing over and over)?

Anything? Any ideas?

1. You have to set your browser to ZERO security and/or to accept cookies. Making CHUD a trusted site isn't enough.

2. You have time to surf given that you are sleeping with Dave Thomas' daughter, you whore?

I have it set to accept cookies. Now I need to have the security to Zero? Ok...going off to try now...

Now I know it wasn't any of those things. It was the hide your handle feature...

Is that what you crazy kids are calling "it" these days? Hide the handle?

So this hide the handle option, is that an IE thing or a chud thing?

CHUD thing. In your profile there's the last radio button. I'll bet if you checked it "yes", then log out of your internet connection, log back in, come to CHUD, it may show that you need to login to post.

Because after all I had done the last thing was to change that back here at CHUD and voila!

Excellent! I wouldn't have thought to check for the MB actually destroying cookies for you...what a considerate HAL 9000 we have here!

"I can't automatically log you in, Dave. Not until you let me show the rest of the World you're online."

That's essentially it.

So when I have the appearance that I am constantly logged in and on the list above...yeah, I am. On any one or two of four different computers.
