My tv is way too dark with dvd, vhs and sometimes with tv in general

Yeah I got a question about a regular ol RCA tv. I bought it, a 25 inch, a month ago. And im noticing the picture is really dark with some movies. Like Batman,Duces Wild, Near Dark and the last fight scene in Spider-man also some episodes of angel, namely heabeas Corpses. Now I know these scenes are supposed to be dark but some scenes I really really really can't tell whats going on. And yes my eyes are fine. Now I read the manual and I adjusted the blackness setting and I could see the scene fine. However when I got back to the regular setting some of the brighters scenes are a lil off, not real noticeable but a lil. Plus the blackness setting is naturally in the middle. No i tried batman in my lil 13 inch tv, and I could see it perfectly! Everything was alot brightly and the darkness was again in the middle so is something wrong with my tv or do I really just need to change the darkness setting?

What's the model number for you RCA tv?

Also, how do you have your video components hooked up?

Are you using coaxial, composite (yellow) or s-video?

I have a 32 inch RCA and have darkness problems with many games. I have to have the lighting in the room set perfectly some times to fully see the screen.

I always have to mess around with brightness when I'm playing video games (especially HALO, for some reason). I'm sure that isn't good for the TV, but I can't think of any solution.

Silent Hill 2 and Eternal Darkness both had parts that were so dark it made them not fun to play. I know both these games are meant to be dark but not so much so that you can't see items on the screen or certain doors.

Hmmm...

Well, if you bought it a month ago then hopefully you can take it back and exchange it for another one, or another model.
