Any word on the Region 1 release? This DVD sounds fantastic. I own the non SE R1 version, and it is good enough to own it in widescreen. That commentary track sounds like a hoot and a half.

Great review! I just saw the older region 1 version(thanks Dellamorte!) and this flick held up waaaay better than I expected it would after so many years. I fucking loved it, and your point about how weird the bank scene massacre is was spot-on for me. Hey - what is it with Meg Foster's eyes?? She's always looked sort of like an android, but in this film it's over the top. Her eyeballs look completely mechanical, like she has some weird reflective silver contacts from an old Star Trek episode in.

Whoever did the captions got me via dumb luck. You see, there is in fact a nebulous area of LA that a friend of mine refers to as Frog Town. While it's not immediately next to Pasadena, it isn't far...

Because it's a site that primarly started out as a place for us UK folk to get R1 US discs. Now it's evolved a bit more, though.

I just bought this for ten Euros over here. man, that commentary track is hilarious! Is Piper just a loud guy all the time or was he high on crack or something? it reminded me of the contrast between Ahnulhd and John Milius on the Conan the Barbarian commentary, hehe...

And I'd forgotten what a great little flick it is too! Gonna buy me the Prince of Darkness SE tomorrow or so, I think..

You snarky Europeans and your fancy R2 discs. I want both of these releases, but I'm a stupid American. What a cruel fate to be born into the most technological and wealthy society in the world, and still not be able to get American SE releases first. Curses!
