So did anyone ever see Stallone's "D-TOX"

i just noticed that it's out on Region 2 DVD.

I'm still fascinated by this thing. This 50+ million dollar hollywood movie was so bad that it was never released in the US and just thrown out there overseas? With the amount of crap released here in the states i refuse to believe it's *that* bad. It's at least gotta be better than Get Carter and Driven.

Mr. Whitehead should be all over this thing !

Crap. Carl let me borrow his copy a while back.

It came out a few months back, to fairly luke warm reviews. The general consensus seemed to be that it's not as eye-gougingly awful as you'd think, given the distribution problems, but it's still a shitty film.

It's getting dumped to vid here as "Eye See You" next month.

It was pretty terrible but I've seen worse crap in theaters over the last two years. Anybody knows what's going on with Avenging Angelo starring Stallon and Anthony Quinn in his last role?

BTW...you can find this horrible "movie" online with kazaa and other programs.....it really isn't worth the download though, unless you get a couple of friends over to get drunk and make fun of it.

D-Tox aka Eye See You, is actually slated to be a guaranteed rental at my blockbuster at the end of the month.

Freaky.

I read a review of this over at DVD File today. Could be GREAT source material for captions, if you ask me.

What's "SHADE"?

anyway, on a related note i found out Stallone did a porn movie back in the day? Someone mentioned this to me when i was trashing "Rocky 6", and i was like "Nah, it's probably just some guy that looks like him".

....Looked it up on the net and it turns out that the Slyster really did take it to the hole on film.

Hey it was rough times......

Hey, "The Italion Stallion" can mean many different things. wink

I did.

It starts out well, but pretty much implodes after the first forty minutes.

In fact, I don't recall ever seeing another movie throw down the towel quite like this one.

TBA 2003 (possibly direct-to-video in the USA, skipping a theatrical release)

One thing of note is that it was produced by Dante Entertainment, which is the company started by Elie Samaha, who co-founded Franchise Pictures.

It's BAD. But not nearly as horrid as its reputation would indicate. Much worse films have been released. Some have even made a ton of $$$.

So when is this SHADE movie coming out?
I ahh quite enjoyed it myself ..but im pretty weird

(saw it in cinema,not dvd)

Maybe it was the low expecatations I had but I didn't think "Eye See You" was a bad movie. It does sort of fall apart midway through but it's a hell of a lot better than some of the thrillers that get a theatrical release.

i saw EYE SEE YOU the other day. It actually wasn't that bad, many movies that are MUCH MUCH WORSE have been released since this movie was completed. What sucks about it is who the villian turns out to be. Did nothing for me. Stallone put in a pretty good performance, though . I actually understood everything he said for the first time ever .

Eye See You arrives in U.S. video stores on VHS and DVD on Tuesday, December 31st.

True, the revelation of the villain was pretty weak. Still this movie probably has the best cast for a film that went straight to video.

I had a blast watching this...Dina Meyer's death notwithstanding.

Course then again I had the added luxury of knowing that Charles S. Dutton looked exactly like my friend Rob in this, so that added to the fun. And Liquid Metal. Can't forget Liquid Metal.

It wasn't great. But it wasn't Ass, Pants, or John Nada either...

I watched it on New Years Day. Terrible......Simply terrible. Great cast but the story was crap. It's a fucked up blowjob of a film. It's not even good enough to play on Cinemax.
