Funniest typo ever?

No. Her father was part of the Ottoman empire.

Wow. That had even more typos than Carl's "Ice Age" review. wink

Sorry you had to sit through that Tony.

It may have been direct to video for you US folk who know nothing about curling, but for us Canadians, I believe its the first Canadian movie to have a wide release all across Canada and had the largest budget on a Canadian movie ever.
Or something to that effect.
And Molly Parker is cute. see: Twitch City, or Kissed

What was the Canadian response to the movie? Negative or Positive?

And thanks for the kind words folks.

I didn't see Men with Brooms, but Canadian newspaper critics had it at fair to middlin'. It had its moments, but definitely not up there with Strange Brew in terms of comedy.

But Paul Gross did excel in as the Mountie in Due South, and he got rave reviews as Hamlet in the Stratford Festival a couple of years ago, so I'd say he has what it takes to be a leading man.

I'm a big fan of Paul Gross. For me, he has the exact right temperament and air about him to play Kal-El.

It was odd. This movie got a LOT of press up north here. They made a huge deal about it, and it was strange to see posters, banners, and tv commercials for a movie made in Canada. They took a big risk with this flick and I don't think it payed off in the end.
Then again, Duct Tape Forever, the Red Green movie, didn't do too well either.

first time i heard about this movie was today.

Bump...because I'm tired of seeing a thread that now has nothing to with a DVD review at the top of this forum.

Or is the real reason that you are an unabashed curling fan and yearn for more discussion of your favorite movie?

Am I really...THAT transparent?

Not really. I employed keen investigative skills to distill the real meaning of your post.
