That was one of the best reviews I've ever read on this site. It makes me -- thus far unenamoured by the movie -- want to watch it now and see what I've been missing.

Great to hear that this movie received such a snazzy DVD treatment. I will definitely try to give this a spin on my Netflix queue.

Thanks for the review.

Well, there it is.

Ingenious review! And there are too many words. Simply cut a few and it will be perfect.

This one is in the wife's Christmas stocking. Great review, just in case the movie quote filter isn't working.

Sensational work Dan!
You did justice to one of my favourite movies of all time.

When I first saw this film some 15+ years ago Tom Hulces' performace was my favourite part of the film. As I have watched it over time I have come to prefer F Murray Abrahams even more.

The scoring of the Requiem is one of the most fantastic scenes in cinema history but the scene I look forward to most whenever I see it is Mozart's improvisation over Saleri's march! Unforgettable!

Excellent:

Baz Luhrmann’s “Strictly Batman” was the start of an intriguing, if controversial, new direction for the franchise.

Superior review, Mr. Whitehead. I wholeheartedly agree. I have great love for this film. I was in Grade 7 when I first watched it; and the only reason I took interest in the movie was because I thought Falco's "Rock Me Amadeus," well, rawked. To this day, I have great respect and affection for this most wonderful film.

Cripes, that "gift horse in the ass" cap got me howling.

To this day, I still secretly think they should have used "Rock Me Amadeus" over the end credits. You know, just to lift the mood a little.
