Long's "Emperor" review

Great stuff. Particularly the 'melon camp' and Stratego caps.

Oh, and the review was good too.

Thanks for the review, Mike. I agree with you that it seems sort of lazy for a second market DVD effort not to throw some extras at a fan for buying a disc that has material that could be scrounged up to supplement the film.

Granted, I suppose, that that entails some production cashola being thrown at the material that some companies would prefer to keep in their coffers, I wonder if it would add to the bottom line of profits for a DVD to feature some goodies?

The Napolean as Dauphin high concept somehow reminds me of the line Eli Cash has in Royal Tenenbaums about his book. To paraphrase: "Everyone knows Napoleon was exiled to live out his final days on St. Helena, now what my film does is presuppose that he didn't?"

Cool review and excellent screencaps by the headmaster. Loved the Total Recall joke.
