Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. It's great to see a lot of beats I have played over in my head a hundred times.

Also, welcome back D.

Volume 1 made my anticipation for Revolutions and ROTK completely evaporate. With the money I've spent dragging people to see it, I could have bought several DVDs. These pictures aren't making the wait any easier. Hope we get a DVD in January.

you should just quit going to the movies and focus on the future of Sci-Fi Channel original series or something equally lame.
Ha! You must've just gotten that Farscape news that I submitted to CHUD.

Cool pics.

Nothing but pure love for those pics.

My favorite has to be The Bride staring down Bill at the table.

Dev, that link's not working. You have to drop the www, I think.

Nice looking pics, but I still think Carradine looks near-decrepit in all the stills I've seen so far. I hope he pulls it off.

Didn't someone in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon do that whole standing on sword thing? And wouldn't her arm get tired holding that sword with a guy on it?

The comma's messing it up. Damn you comma!

Did anybody play "count the homages" with Vol. 1?

Best (and probably most obvious) example is the House of Blue Leaves Fight, with the Bride wearing Bruce Lee's jumpsuit from "Game of Death," encircled by bad guys a la Bruce Lee's "The Chinese Connection," said bad guys all wearing Bruce Lee's Kato mask from "The Green Hornet."

(There's a great drinking game to be played while watching "Game of Death," but that's another thread.)

My girlfriend also pointed out the use of the Green Hornet theme song in the Tokyo flyover, which I completely missed the first time.

The sword-standing shot reminds me of some HK film I've seen, but I'm blanking. Anyone?

I hope the marketing somehow conveys the fact that this film does not have any large scale action scenes, and emphasizes the small moments. I think it is going to be better than the original, but most people do not have an open mind when it comes to "sequels." It is near impossible to abandon your expectations when you watch them.

Why the hell did they feel the need to make a sequel to KILL BILL?

I'm really afraid to reply because I know there's a joke in here somewhere.

But, anyway, Part 2. The movie was split into two because it was three hours long.

Yes.

But it's still fun to look at.

These pics get me even more hyped up for Kill Bill volume 2. Hopefully it will have a great ending unlike another movie that opened recently.

Not with those wires holding him.

I cannot fucking wait for this.

Get off your high horse, mister. For this "simple mind", KILL BILL was an amazing experience that moved me both emotionally and cinematically far more than the bloated corpse that was THE MATRIX RELOADED.

Different things for different people of course, but lines like that just don't fucking cut it. Sadly, that's typical behaviour for many Matrix fans. Not a straight generalizational insult, just my personal experience.

Like many, I loved Volume 1 with a desperate passion some only reserve for things like the unattainable prom queen or dark chocolate or finely crafted ladels...

I then read the original (one film) script, loved it like no one before. The changes that were made resulted in an even better picture, and the scenes to come, even if some of those are reworked/deleted/rearranged/replaced are going to be magnificent.

I have no doubt about it. Volume 1 was excellent and gave us more than enough. Don't cheat yourself by trying to convince your mind that it was not blown.
