Badass ROMASANTA poster!

I've recently watched Paco Plaza's first film SECOND NAME and liked it a great deal. Not horror exactly but a very intense and gloomy thriller. I can't wait to see what this guy does with a period werewolf film starring Julian Sands ...

The poster is awesome:

Now can someone please tell me how I can buy Spanish movie posters? I need this thing for my bedroom wall!

Finally, someone who has seen The Second Name... is it as good as The Nameless or Seven?

Poster looks pretty cool.

That's a tough call. I think SEVEN is the best thriller of the last 10 years so no, it's not quite as good as that film. SECOND NAME reminded me of THE NAMELESS in many ways, which could be because they're both based on Ramsey Campbell novels. SECOND NAME is just as gloomy, unrelenting and downright mean in how it treats its main characters, which I found very un-Hollywood and extremely refreshing. I also thought that the ending of SECOND NAME packed more emotional punch than that of THE NAMELESS. But Paco Plaza has a different style from Balaguero. Don't expect any twitching freaky little girls to be superimposed over the image in SECOND NAME. At the moment it's difficult to say which film I liked more. I've watched THE NAMELESS about a dozen times and SECOND NAME only twize so far.

But if you loved SEVEN and THE NAMELESS then SECOND NAME should definitely appeal to you as well.

The Spanish DVD is pretty good but thy pulled the same shit they did with the DARKNESS DVD in that they dubbed the English actors in the interview section. That just plain sucks! They not even offer 2 different audio tracks, which would have been easy on DVD. Morons. The film was shot in English with what seems to have been an all English cast after all ...

There's also a German DVD that has the interviews in English with German subtitles. I don't know if it's uncut though ...

LOL. You have a point there. It does look similar. But BROTHERHOOD lacked the actual wolf in the background, which is what I dig the most about the poster.

yep, the Spanish DVD is the one I plan on getting. There are some deleted scenes on it as well, from what I've read at some websites.
