General Clark likes OutKast

Or at least thats what he wants the youth vote to think. From Rollling Stone:

Quote:
At CNN's Rock the Vote debate, each Democratic presidential candidate prepared a 30-second ad to appeal to the MTV generation.

After reaffirming his pro-choice stance and his disdain for the invasion of Iraq, Gen. Wesley Clark got down to the real deal: " I don't care what the other candidates say. I don't think Outkast are really breaking up. Andre 3000 and Big Boi just cut solo records, that's all." It's no joke, so Random Notes reached out for further comment from the general, who says, "I don't know much about hip-hop. But I do know that Outkast can make you shake it like a Polaroid picture." (And no, we're not making that one up.) Andre 3000 responds: "I don't vote or anything. But that is funny!
Even though I know some aide told Clark to say those things, its still great knowing he has staff people who are in touch with what the kids are listening to. Hilarious!

Clark's son is very involved in his campaing, and from the comments I've read from him on blogs he seems like a pretty smart guy. Maybe it wasn't an aide, but something his son listens to.

Shake it like a Polaroid!

Until the inevitable skeletons come rattling out of his closet, Clark is my homie.

don't these guys know how stupid they look saying they like something they've never heard of.
Didn't Dean say he liked Jay Z or someone else like that?

Just say you like Perry Como or Celien Dion and be done w/ it.

What skeletons are you expecting? I'm not saying that they're not there, but Clark is my homie as well at the moment and I'm curious to know anything that might shake that support.

There has been a lot of speculation that whatever got him removed from the head of Nato in the Balkans maybe what gets him in the end. Again its just speculation, but I've heard it from a lot of places, that if he gets to popular it will come out.

I like him a lot though, I've been watching him on CSPAN and he is at least not boring.

The skeletons are that he got kicked out of NATO for dressing up like Michael Jackson in "Supreme Commander" garb. What a scandal that was!

Clark's star has been fading rapidly ever since the initial surge of him entering the fracas. He's done, and he is grasping at straws, trying to get some younger votes, etc.

Dean has this nomination.

Two things I'll bet on:
  • I HAVE heard and LIKE Outkast
  • Wes Clark has probably NOT heard nor would LIKE Outkast

Most pathetic bid at a demographic ever award goes to lil' Wessy

Which usually backfires in some major way.

Very true. We did a phone interview with some of his supporters making a trek to NH al Clinton in '91.
Saddest thing I've ever heard. This man has no chance whatsoever.

Dean has it.

And the radio industry is grinding their blades for that eventuality. It's going to be interesting to watch Dean be politically disemboweled.

Outkast? Jay-Z?

Fuck it, I'm voting for whoever listens to Jurassic 5.
