It's a busy junket season right now, so I'm at the various Beverly Hills hotels a lot lately, but have already had two separate run-in's in the valet lane with democrats, which is making me realize that, shit, there's a lot of politicking going on.
I pulled up to the Four Seasons last week for "Return of the King" and in the minivan in front of me, out comes Dick Gephardt, all glad-handing and smiling with the hotel staffers that came out to greet him.
Today, leaving the Regent Beverly Wilshire, there was a limo, a black SUV and two sedans (the latter three all with rollers or red/blue "lights") and it was President Carter coming out of the hotel into the cars.
This is just running into people in parking lots. If you run the coincidence ratios, I'm wondering just how many other such folks are running around looking for fat Hollywood cash out here right now.
