Carville: Gore Looks Like 'a Corpse'

I don't trust newsmax (notice the capo, and hit man references in the article. wtf), but I checked Imus' site and Carville was a guest. Couldn't find a transcript. Interesting if true, though;

Quote:
Former Clinton war room capo James Carville is trashing ex-Vice President Al Gore's decision this week to endorse Howard Dean, saying that Gore looked like "a corpse" at Tuesday's announcement ceremony in Harlem.

"It was the perfect picture of a doctor and a corpse standing there," Carville told radio host Don Imus Thursday morning.

The Clinton hit man also derided Dean's decision to bring Gore to Harlem in a bid to appeal to African-Americans, saying Gore could never compete with his old boss.

"I don't think Al Gore should even get in the same ring with Bill Clinton when it comes to trying to impress black voters," Carville advised.

The Democratic strategist openly boasted that the Vermont Democrat's presidential bid was doomed, recounting a conversation he had with one top Dean aide.

"I told Steve McMahon, the media guy for Dean, who was on 'Crossfire': You have one of the three most influential presidential campaigns of my lifetime. That's the good news. The bad news is the other two are McGovern and Goldwater."

Makes sense. Carville's been a Clinton hitman from day one.

Gore hates Clintons.
Clintons hate Gore.

Newsmax

is like Faux News/Entertainment or the National Enquirer. Tabloid gossip that leans to the right.Zero credibilty. They can't back up ANY of their tall tales. This site says it all!

Notice what I said about Newsmax at the beginning, however, they site the Imus interview this morning (which did happen). Until I find a transcript I'm guessing the quotes are OK, since they can be sued very badly if they made them up.

But does anyone even doubt that the insane cajun said this?

I've been so far today to Msnbc, CBSNEWS.com,ABC NEWS,The Guardian,The Independant,Washington Post,La Times,CHicago Tribune,New York Times, & even Drudge. NewsMax is the only one reporting this? IMO, this sounds like something Drudge would get wet over & even he's not reporting it (or atleast not yet) NEwsMAx also has reported that Bill Clinton had an affair w/ Demi Moore, was responsible for 9/11,etc. NewsMax reports ALL ANTI LIBERAL STORIES! ANy news source who picks on one side & ignores the other IS NOT CREDIBLE IMO.

I always ask people this, Show me one anti- conservative story on NewsMax or Fox. One anti Bush story. They are usually paper thin. I'm not denying the Carville story, but I admit I would be surprised. Its Newsmax, take it with a grain of salt. No one else has picked up the story. Wonder why.

Unless it is reported by a legitimate news source, I wouldn't take it too seriously.

But they just picked up the newsmax.com story.

No transcript from Imus' show yet. The reason why it probably hasn't been picked up, is because nobody listens or watches Imus.

I don't understand why this is such a big deal exactly?

Who said it was a big deal?
Well, it was a big enough deal for you to post about. And then you expected it to be reported elsewhere. So I would imagine that would qualify as "a big deal."

I didn't know the policy was to post threads that are a "big deal". Also, from my initial post, it didn't sound like a big deal (if you read it):

Again, calm down.

Nah, sounds too boring.

Just like your complaints about threads you say you are not interested in, but keep posting, and posting, and posting ...

Now if I find a good article of Delay trying to score dates with chicks in the campaign, trash talking GW Bush, or beating old ladies with his Bible, I'll post it here in a second.
