The HTML is ready and I'm moving into the final stages of programming for EqualBias. Now I could use a few opinions.

I gotta decide how the headlines (the headlines under "up to the minute" on the left side of the site) are going to work. The point of these headlines are to start immediate discussion on very current news articles taken from a variety of sources. I want to find a few regular posters to do exactly as they do now on the boards, post a part of an article from any reputable news source followed by a comment on that article.
These are the two options I came up with. Option 1 is to have the link on the main page go directly to the post on the forum. Thats the easiest but could be a bit jarring to people not famliar with the boards. Option B would be to post it on our site, as well as link directly to a post on the forum.
What do you guys think?
