THE KILL LIST, Round Ten Discussion (James Woods and the Giant Peach) - Page 5

Surprisingly Matchstick, I don't think that image is as bad as the text beneath it.
The "Dear, Santa" text has been removed, if that's what you're talking about. If you are talking about the new text that replaced it, I have not had the courage to look upon it yet.
Something about Stephen Sommers being the greatest film director ever. Someone should kill him.
Just noticed that the Santa stuff is gone. Anime is a damn magnet for crazy people.
See, Z-Man, I figured Rath would kill that movie to prove how he's not a racist.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA?
As the old saying goes: "If you love something. kill it. If it comes back, it was never meant to be. And you should probably kill it again."
I kill language.

Kill Clambake.

Thank God.

Killed pulp? Now I know I did the right thing.

It's like beating up your best friend Edward Norton so he doesn't look like a bitch... it hurts... but it needs to be done.

It's a joke, for fucks sake.

Sometimes I wonder.
For someone who takes swings at people with clockwork regularity, you certainly get huffy awfully fucking fast when harmless razzing is aimed at you.

I KNEW I FORGOT ONE! FUCK!

Actually I wanted to kill El Mariachi.
You've been riding me pretty hard the past couple of days. I wonder how much of that is harmless razzing.
Rath what are you doing? Why would you kill Buffy knowing it could lead to no series? And if Joss was successful w/ the movie it may have been a franchise and no series. If you wanted to kill the SMG/FPjr relationship kill IKWYDLS. Go back, edit your pick. Buffy came back from the dead twice. Do it here.

Citizen Kane? I know you said your later picks were meant to start a discussion but if you can't back it up don't pick it. Think harder and be a bit more creative.

Pulp Fiction-That's just wrong anyway you look at it.
Slide.
Can't edit, Anya, them's the rules. In retrospect I probally shouldn't have killed Buffy this round, but hey, at the time, that was a risk I was willing to take. Cest La Vie.
Poxy ends it with a solid pick.
Ahh, Blunt, that's great. Maybe now A Certain Sacrifice will get the respect it deserves.
blow is just a bad movie... from depp's phoned in performance, to the gooey cheesy center, the tired 70's "glitz", the bad makeup, and that horrible oft repeated line "it was perfect" OH THE IRONY!

Rath, I've been around here long enough to know that me asking what the point of your "smack talking in chat" thread is, or joking about you overusing internet in-jokes, is about a million miles away from "riding you pretty hard".

And, by the by, that's an image that's going to haunt me. Thanks.

My post above was what I believe is called a "zinger". I believe the correct response to it would be "Ooh, snap!". Or "You're not funny".

Posting "I kill language" on this message board, a message board I love for its fast wit and intelligent posters, is an open goal. I responded, not out of malice for you, but in the spirit of the thread. Had Slater posted it, I would've responded with something along the lines of "I know, I've read your novel". Had this Wiskerando character posted it, I would've responded with "Who are you, and what have you done with the dessicated corpse of Dan Laugharn?".

See?

What I find especially depressing is that in this thread alone I could point out dozens of examples of you doing the same, or much much worse. I could refer back to your using things people have posted about their private lives to denounce them as drunkard, sexist or - still can't believe you did this one - rapist.

To then turn around and ask for exemption from the same thing, to act wounded when trash talked, mere hours after trash talking someone else...

Fuck it.

You're high maintenance. You have this bizarre passive/aggressive thing going on, and it's just too much hassle to try and engage with you these days.

I like you. I've said as much plenty of times. But, by the beard of Tom Skerrit, you're a pain in the ass these days.

Sorry to derail the Draft thread, but I figured I'd end this where it started.

Happy trails.
Dan kills friendship.
A hypothetical power was given to those of you in the draft, and it corrupted you all. You went mad with power!

But it was a lot of fun to witness and discuss. I still don't like the Fellowship's death in Rd. 1, but well justified it was.

Best Kill: Selena.... if I were in it, this one would've went first followed by Manhunter.

I was going to email Universal Studios, tell them I have a great idea for a new movie. We'll have John Hughes write a dramatic romance, directed by Ron Howard. Big stars like Mel Gibson, Nicolas Cage and Cameron Diaz will sign on. It will be titled "There's Something About a Family Man's Rock" that way next time we have a kill list we can just off this one piece and destroy our most hated once and for all.
