I hope you and the rest of the X-Men Movie bashers (including ACE) are enjoying the taste of eating your own words. As much criticism I received thru this board in regards to my OPINION on the XMEN movie I am now happy I can laugh in all of your faces.

You can laugh at our butts now, too...if you want.

I admitted it already, I may have underrated the film. I always call it how I see it, and if new information presents itself to dispel my earlier take I'll admit it.

Let's see some other high profile webmasters do that.

Also, by posting an "in your face" comment, it hurts the achievement of your correct perception on the X-MEN.

i am not trying to acheive anything other than state my opinion.

Many of you (not all) on this board tore apart the X-MEN movie before having seen any part of the actual movie.

I told people to "calm" down and wait until we see something tangible.

It's just funny how people don't listen to reason and would rather make mountains out of mohills in order to fufill parts of their very, very empty lives.

it's amusing to me - keep it up

i also hope you will enjoy the X-Men

Jaro,

"It's just funny how people don't listen to reason and would rather make mountains out of mohills in order to fufill parts of their very, very empty lives."

If you're going to insult people, either name names or do not spout blanket statements like the one above. It's hurtful and does only harm. I will not stand for people insulting our readers.

And what the hell is a mohill?

What? I can't bust anyone's balls after they busted mine?

I am not out to insult anyone - just serving everyone their just desserts.
bon appetit

"mountain out of mohill" - an ancient mexican proverb translated into english for all the cringos
post #8 of 14
Gringos. Not 'cringos'.

Molehill is the correct term, was a joke.

Jaro, we're back at square one.

Let's all play nice, ok?

DJEvil and Blofeld are exempt from that "without any future quarrels" bit. Bring it on, DJ! I got the box turtle & disco music!

You two, watch it, or you shall stir the fearsome and terrible wrath of David Arquette-Arquette!

You want a piece? You want a piece? Bring it! I'll crush ya! I'll smash ya! I'll tear ya to shreds! Let's go! I ain't afraid!

Again, from Ace's post, I see that we are up against the wall again. Think of all the shitty movies that had good trailers. Someone asked on another post why they would show scenes from the final fight, and I offered best case scenario-since it seems the film is loosely based on "God Loves, Man Kills", there may not be much fighting. Of course, another rationale might be that they cut together the only remotely compelling footage that exists. We are not even close to out of the woods yet. If Ace has the script and he says he likes it, I'll go ahead and believe him and hope for the best. Of course, a publicity blitz showing the X-costumes from every angle for about three months is going to be the only thing that could possibly get me used to them.
We have to count on effects and acting now. I trust the direction of Singer, always have. The man has directed three fine films, two of which are near-classic, one of which ranks with Shawshank Redemption as the one of the great Stephen King-to-silver screen adaptations. I've never had a bad word to say about him. My problems are with a studio that wants to make a film based on a comic book-that doesn't look too much like a comic book. We still have to wait and see.

I'd love to blank everyone's memory, put them in a theater with a monster screen and a huge soundsystem and unspool the Judge Dredd trailer. That looked amazing-and the fight on the Statue of Liberty (dwarfed by the Statue of Judgement) looked pretty cool, too.

Oh-and JARO. EASY ON THE CAPS LOCK KEY THERE, HONDO.

...maybe he was thinking of MOHAIR? eh, CRINGOS?
