I bought the family a Gamecube for Christmas. I'm sure many of you think that was my first mistake, but that's beside the point now.

Which of these games has the best replay value:

Tony Hawk Underground
Return of the King
SSX3
1080 Avalanche

Now, curse me for not buying the X-Box and help a guy out....

ROTK I've heard is great fun, but I'd imagine that Tony Hawk is going to get you the most milage. But, that's just my opinion.

I agree. ROTK is supposed to be fun, but the great thing about THUG and other sports games is that they have a lot more replay value.

And bang for your buck, the Cube was your best choice.

Get SSX over 1080, definitely. ROTK is fun, but you can unlock everything in a single afternoon of playing. I'm not a Tony Hawk fan, but his games always have a shitload of replayability.

If you're looking for a Gamecube game for your entire family to play together, though, you can't go wrong with Mario Kart: Double Dash.

I voted for SSX3 (definitely better than 1080 Avalanche). But I would urge you, in the strongest terms possible, to spend some quality time with your Gamecube, your beverage of choice, and Metroid Prime. You'll thank me.

RotK is great but you can beat it pretty quickly and it doesn't have the most replay value. I haven't played SSX3 yet but the other two were pretty fun and I would choose that over 1080. Out of all of those Tony Hawk has the most replay value though.

Or you can just forget about all of those and just Super Smash Brother and/or Mario Kart DD.

SSX3.

Tony Hawk by a long shot, although Metroid: Prime is just about the best game ever made.

Return of the King is loads of fun, but hella tough in some spots. Worse though is that if you don't have the skills to make it to the end, you're SOL when it comes to trying to use cheat codes to get through it.

Me, I'm stuck on the bastard Elephant/Witch King/Save Merry & Eowyn level.

The AI of your supposed allies is pathetic. Aragorn is screaming Shoot Him repeatedly while Legolas and Gimil just stand there sniffing your butt.

still, it's fun as hell.

I bought the Crash Bandicoot racing game when I bought the system. That whole Bandicoot thing is my wife's favorite video game thing, not sure why. Hope she likes it.

This is strictly for my entertainment. I suppose I could always go Madden or NBA Live....

UPDATE

We went with THUg. It's a good game, but I've spent most of my time with Prince of Persia....

Getting massive multi-million point combos in Hawk can get to be an obsession. It just takes a while to get into it.
