Looking forward to hopeful 2004 Region 1 DVD releases for:

1) "Infernal Affairs III" <----- #
2) "Battlefield Baseball" <----- #
3) "Azumi"
4) "Battle Royale II"
5) "Taegukki" <----- #

My top 3 would thus be movies with # since they are true 2004 releases (the other two have been released but aren't Region 1 encoded).

ROTK EE DVD and then, 1. Hellboy (I bought the Cronos DVD and the Conquerer Worm TPB last week, I can't wait to see this movie). 2. Van Helsing (Castlevania meets Vampire Hunter D? What could go wrong? Oh, the Mummy guy's directing it? Fuck it, the poster looks cool, I'll see it anyway). The Ladykillers ("We all must have waffles forthwith!" I will see any movie with that line of dialogue).

I'm most looking forward to Troy, The Aviator could be good, Sky Captain looks alright, King Arthur should be a decent flick, and van Helsing.

And I couldn't leave this one out (I'm sure I'll enjoy it far more than anything else next year):

The Return of the King Extended Edition (reported to be 5 hours long!)

I just watched The Last Samurai and before the movie they showed a preview for Taking Lives . It stars Angelina Jolie, Ethan Hawk and Kiefer Sutherland.

It looks very good! I haven't heard any news about this movie at all, so it was a big surprise.
