Best Original Death Scenes in a Movie

Thread Starter
I was viewing Dead or Alive again recently and simply marveled at the on screen carnage. My favorite scene of the movie was the death by noodles exploding out of the Yakuza guys' stomach. What are some of your cherished scene stealers?

Whichever Kitano flick (pretty sure it was Brother) had the chopsticks-up-the-nose death. That was pretty cool.

Also, Arnold killing people and saying a new catchphrase everytime is one of my all time favorites.

"Stick around."

"Don't disturd my friend. He's dead tired."

"You're fired."

Annnnnnd, Robert Shaw getting eaten by a fucking shark feels fresh to me every time. Robert Shaw is the man.

The king of film deaths is undeniably Marvin from Pulp Fiction. Honorable mentions go to Ivan Chekov from Boondock Saints (toilet dropped on head from 5 stories up), the commander in Empire Strikes Back who Vader strangled via satellite, the old guy in Clerks who died beatin it in a convience store bathroom (and then has sex with the hero's love interest), and the 83 brave men who gave their lives to make the climax of Commando the most ri-goddamn-diculous piece of film ever created. Incidentally, every time I watch it I have a full erection. Wonder what that's about. I suppose William Wallace and Boromir had pretty good deaths, if you're into that kinda thig. The Lifetime achievement award goes to Carl Weathers, who has never survived a movie that I know of (not even Happy Gilmore, for shit's sake). And on the other side of things, has Tom Cruise ever died in a movie? I thought my head was going to explode when he survived The Last Samurai. He got shot off a horse with a goddamn gatling gun for Christ's sake! Ahhh! I'm gonna go slam my head in a car door for an hour or so.

Fat guy crushed by Xenia's legs in GoldenEye
Alex Kintner, Jaws.
The anime slashing in Kill Bill: Vol 1.
Yep, the death of Alex Murphy in Robocop is pretty. Pretty ugly.
Tony Todd on spike in The Rock.
Everthing in Final Destination 2. Especially the cop Vs tree scene.
Battle Royale. Masterpiece.
The slit throat death of Tom Cruise in Interview with the Vampire. Sure, he wasn't completely dead afterwards, but mostly.
One of the victims in The Green Mile. Toasted.

i have to agree with Final Destination 2 - AWESOME expressway wreckage.

But i prefer the guy getting all sliced up into parts out in the field, which remind me of the guy who is laser sliced apart in Resident Evil.

Ghost Ship. Opening scene.

A combination of many special effects, computer and makeup, in one of the bloodiest shots ever. Hard to believe this was only an 'R' rated scene. I loved it!

Incredibly realistic fire extinguisher to the face - "Irreversible".

Sleeping bag against tree, face to mirror, machete in the nuts- "Friday the 13th"-7, 6, 3, respectively.

Mass murdering Bruce Lee doesn't take shit from cops!- "Chinese Connection".

Bill "always dies like a man" Paxton.

Falling to his death, "Wow this is great!" - Kakihara in "Ichi The Killer".

Roddy Piper takes a bullet like a man, and saves the world w/ his dying breath - "They Live"

Really, really annoying girl gets decapitated from the upper-jaw by cannibals because I begged for her death in a shitty film- "Wrong Turn"

Annoying, batshit, dead weight, Judith O'Dea gets eaten by her zombie brother and Co.- Night of the Living Dead.

Ok I needed to get this in the proper thread.

At BobClark's response I had to check out this movie (being I was born the year it was made I missed it's magic). Started looking for a DVD version awhile back (I know I know 2 years ago) and sort of lost interest but this weekend I was sent this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgt5233HjCs

Definitely classic.

I´d like to add the scene where the hooker gets drowned in her own poop.
Damn, that Takashi Miike must really have issues.

Sweet, i just bought this film today.

To be honest Dead or Alive is Miike playing it straight. He has his little outlandish outbursts but for the majority of the running time it's a bog standard Yakuza thriller. But the 15 minutes which are pure Miike are utterly memorable.

I'd say the Yazuka boss's death in Gozu (impaled on a ladel he had shoved into his anus for his own pleasure, and then electrocuted through said ladel) was pretty awesome.

I love the way Anne tries to scream and get her face into the exact pose she used for the FX mold of her face.

As I read this thread again, I was surprised nobody gave Bob credit for the best pick of the thread.

Silent Hill

This Pyramid Head kill is definitely NOT for the squeemish. But certainly well executed. Videos a bit dark.

sniper shot through his own scope-saving private ryan

shredder crushed in garbage truck-ninja turtles

knifecock-se7en(pretty much the whole movie)

not sure if anyone mentioned the five points palm exploding heart technique.

SPOILER:
The trapdoor suicide/murder drowning.-The prestige
post #30 of 34
Big props on the Ghost Ship scene. First time I saw that I just sat there...jaw dropped...entranced. Love that scene. As well as most of the Final Destination 2 kills.

But still have to give my number one lovin to the "head frozen in liquid nitrogen and then crushed to a slushy pulp on the counter" killshot from Jason X. Out of a career of kills for Jason, this one tops them all for me.
Sam Jackson getting sharked in Deep Blue Sea. That one kinda caught me off guard.
Marked for Death-
Seagal gouges the villain's eyes out with his thumbs, snaps his spine, then tosses him down an elevator shaft where he's impaled on a piece of steel. Probably not walking away from that one.
Roy Batty - Blade Runner . . *sniff*
I don't remember which it was, but in one movie they kill a handcuffed guy by putting a living snake down his throat.

Awesome.
