Good review, Nick. I'm a fan of the Re-Animator films and I was considering renting this tonight. I just have to see how awful it is. Good writing though, Nick.

Sucks to hear that this is a letdown, but that's pretty much what all the other reviews had me expecting. Nice to see some tits and gore in the screencaps, though...saved me a couple bucks.

Good review.

I was saddened to hear you dislike this movie so much. I saw it back in the summertime, at Fantasia Fest in Montreal. There was a wonderful crowd there, as well as a marvelous short that played before Re-Animator, which really got people pumped for the flick. Because of this mix, I had a freakin' blast watching the movie, and I was greatly anticipating purchasing it on DVD. But after hearing so many bad reviews, I'm thinking that my first viewing was a fluke, and that when I'd watch this thing on DVD, that I would then also grow to hate it.

Great review, and you saved me a purchase, because after the Sci Fi Channel showing we were wondering if there was enough cut stuff on the dvd to warrant a buy. I'll still probably rent it, though, if it's available.

Those caps grossed me out.

The Jamie Kennedy Klingon cap is my favorite, FYI.

Mild spoilers.
.
Crap movie. Crap acting by nearly everyone. Crap dubbing. Crap music. Just fucking crap.

Jeffrey Combs was decent. A few good gore moments(walking torso) and one funny moment(rat vs.cock). Those are the only good things I can think of.

The movie sucks dick, pretty much.

How can anyone not like a movie that has a fist fight between a rat and a severed cock during the end credits?

Let alone a Jeffrey Combs movie.

Not to mention 'Re-Animate Your Feet' which is now my favorite DVD extra of all time...
