Not long after this was released he was diagnosed with some form of cancer -- probably brought on from all the steroids he took to bulk his body up with -- and after a long struggle he survived but his career, what little there was to it to begin with, was over. Only other thing I remember Joe in was a Chuck Norris kid's movie. Today I think he does dinner theatre and stand up in very out of the way places.

I remember renting Dead Heat many, many years ago when it originally came out on VHS. Ugh. My God, what were Darren McGavin, Vincent Price, Keye Luke and Treat Williams doing making this movie? I hope they at least all collected hefty paychecks.
