I got the expnasion pack (Play the World) for Civ 3. I can't stop playing. It horrible.

I never thought I was a Sim dork, but I do so love me this game.

you'll know sim dorkiness when you hack the soundfiles to play Wagner's Cry of the Valkries when your copters attack the enemy. Mheh, complete nerd-dom is mine.

I've thoroughly enjoyed playing every Sim since the first. But the best Sid Meyer game for my money is Covert Action.

What would people consider the best strategy/conquest build up games anyways?

I dig on Total War but I need a strategy fix, something that will help increase my management skills (yes games can actually do that). Like chess but expanded to increase one's facility for multi-tasking.

And I'll give ya a cookie if you can figure out what the heck I was just saying....

Well, maybe Hearts of Iron a WWII strategy game . . . there isn't extreme micro-managing in it (there's only like 3 resources to worry about) but the tech-tree is pretty intense.
