Phantasm dvd problem

Just bought Phantasm on dvd and for whatever reason it freezes completely whenever I try and access the special features on my dvd player. It won't load at all on my computer. I'm going to try and exchange it in the next couple of days, but I was just wondering if anyone else has had any similar trouble.

Interesting. Someone mentioned earlier that they were having a problem with their Child's Play disc. Both Phantasm and Child's Play were released by MGM.

Hmmm.

I'm sorry, I haven't heard about any problems with the Phantasm disc.

Yeah, it's weird. No problems with any other aspects of the disc, but when I try to access the special features it just craps out. I'm watching the movie right now and there have been no signs of any other problems. I must have just grabbed a defective disc. I was just hoping that it wasn't a universal problem and that I would be able to remedy it by exchanging the disc.

Shame though that there is a problem. I've been ansy for this movie for a couple of weeks now for some reason. Having to exchange movies is such a pain.

I've never had any problems with my PHANTASM DVD ...

Sorry to say, but it looks like you must crawl back into the store through a broken basement window, detour past the bleeding man ( who also happens to be wallowing in his own urine ), and make a beeline to the returns counter before the large and pale manager decides your reciept is invalid ...

Don't forget to bring your shotgun

I've never had a problem with my Phantasm DVD, but my old player simply refused to play my Escape from New York disc. Is your player aging? I actually found a few discs that my old player wouldn't view - I just bought a new one though and everything I've thrown at it has worked like a charm.

Its probably just a faulty disc, but if a new copy doesn't work I'd check out the player.

Yeah, will do. I do think now that it's just a faulty disc. I've now tried it in three different players [both old(er) and new] but to no avail.

Like I said, good to hear that this is just an isolated incident. I'd hate to think that there was some kind of intergallactic conspiracy involving funny little dwarves and menacing, surreal undertakers bent on preventing anyone from accessing Phantasm's special features and thus learning their diabolical secrets...

Odd. I was watching Wolfen the other day from netflix but when I went to watch the Special Features the DVD player just spit the disk out.
