Do you have the system selector blues?

Buck up little soldier and wipe those tears away the System Selector Pro is here and it's one badass mofo!

I just got it hooked up and is it ever sweet. To test it all out I had all three consoles and the DVD player going and switched back and forth between them all no problem. Complete with Component cabling and Digital Audio, well except for Nintendo's audio of course.

My only two complaints are they only have four Digital Audio inputs and where in the hell is the remote?

Other than that it's money well spent. I've been waiting years for this to come.

Great, I needed to pick up some kind of cable thingy like this. I currently get right/left channel only on the TV that my PS2 is hooked up to, since the TV only has a coax thing, and the VCR that I run my cables through was designed by some genious who thought of making seperated plugs for video and monoural audio.

Apparantly, this was the same person who invented an ejector seat for helicopters.

That cracked my ass up.

So basically this $100 system selector does the exact same things as my $20 system selector I got at Wal-Mart, except it does them in a shiny metal case. How zazzy.

Wal-Mart was where I got that goddamned VCR.

I bought the non-pro one about 4 months ago, and havnt looked back. My only complaint is that now, I play more games, since it is so easy to switch.

I have all 3 systems running on component cables with PS2 & Xbox with digital audio plus the DVD player, CD, Phono, blah, blah. I have a very nice Kenwood receiver that could not handle everything at once. This is a god send I tell you.

I just got one of those $20 ones from Best Buy the week before Christmas (when I knew for sure I's gettin a GC to go with the X and the P.o.S 2.)
Now i'm lookin' at those VGA adapters that allow you to hook all your consoles to your computer monitor. You guys had any experience with those?

Sure I've had those but I used it to hook up cable to my monitor not video games but you can. My question is why would you want to do that?
Well, as this is the current situation in my dorm room, let's say your television is 6 years old and 20 inches. Now, your roommate's computer monitor is a brand-new 27 inch flat screen high resolution monitor. Which one would you rather play video games on?

this is what I've been waiting for too. As my sony monitor only has one component input, leaving my gamecube and dvd player left out of the progressive loop. Hope to match these sumbitches up to some Z-680's and I can lock myself up in my office for a very long time, or something.

Sounds to me that you have a shitty Kenwood receiver.

This is the VGA box I was thinking of picking up. I've seen it anywhere from $35 up to $60. You guys familiar with it?
The manufacturer is Innovation1 Technologies

No the recievers good but over a year old so it so it doesnt have as many inputs as some of the fancy new ones. They don't think about gamers and our needs in the audio world.

I can't see any good reason to spend 80 more dollars on something like this.

You guys are a tough crowd. I've been literally asking people if they have one of these for years and I always got the blank stare in return. I don't have to swap cables around when I want to switch consoles and that is a big pain in hte ass as the back of my system is a spaghetti mass of monster cable and huge speaker wire.

The selector switches are great to have. Especially if (like me) you have multiple consoles. You can easily get away with spending $20 or so for it. However, the main reason i'm looking into getting the VGA box is because we only have 1 tv in the house, and if we were to buy another one, it would most likel;y go in the master bedroom, where I don't really want to spend all my time playing games. The VGA box will allow me to have my comp and the consolesall in one single area. Another bonus is with the consoles so close to my computer, i'll be able to go out and buy the neccessary hardware to route my internet connection to both the X and PS2 without having to unplug and replug every time I want to switch the internet connection with the consoles.

here I was prepared to toss out upwards around $250-400 to import one of those asian made component switchers...so this new offering is a steal in my eyes. Sadly, the local bestbuy sold out on them, but will have them in a week.

You said you were running your GameCube through component cables...where did you pick up the component adapter for the GCN? I haven't been able to find one locally...

Of course not this is Nintendo we're talking about. You have to order the cable from Nintendo and they are cheap assed sob's too. Monster Cable said when the consoles launched they were not going to make the cables for the Cube just MS and Sony.

I seriously doubt it has component cable and digital audio inputs let alone 4 inputs and the output.

Just happened to come across this VGA box last night. Called CompUSA about it, and the guy there said it's a very cool item. Said the digital tv tuner built in is a real noce add-on. $79 doesn't seem to bad for it. I told the guy on the phone that it sucks that this one only has 1 input. He said to do what he did, plug the consoles into the system switcher, and then plug the system switcher into this one.
