Is It Snowing Where You Are? - Page 2

Clevelands got a ice storm and they're closing stuff already for tomorrow. Hope the roads get better by the time I have to head to work or it'll be a very very long day.

Where I live, in San Diego, it stays about 65-70 degrees year round. And about 2 hours drive from me, is a full-blown mountain that has a long ski season.

Muhuahahahaha...

Agent, just when I was starting to like you you go out and remind me I live in terrible weather for 9 months of the year. Damn you.

Snow is blowing sideways. Roads are unsafe. Had to drive 30 miles to get to work today. Normally it takes me 30-35 minutes to get here. Today, an hour and 15 minutes.

Iced over here. It started icing up Sunday night and has been iced over till today. Finally the roads are melting.

I live on top of a hill and the street in front of the house is the only way in and out of our housing community. It is quite entertaining to see the neighbors trying to get in and out. I'd say one in 5 cars are making it out. Mostly 4X4s and such. Today I witnessed a truck slide back down the hill and into a parked car on the side of the steet. The action on the street was quite entertaining. I often had to pause the DVD player to watch the action. People would get a running start and try to get their vehicle up the ice encased street.

I really wish it would just fucking stop over here. That prospect doesn't look so good, though. Took me hours to get to work today. This sucks.

Damn, looks like the drive home is going to be an eventful one.

FYI: Try doing some power assist braking. If your tires feel like they are slipping when you accelerate press on the brake while pressing on the gas.

Edit:

Actually, you may want to do this in controlled areas such as an empy parking lot to get the hang of it.

after almost 8 inches of snow and then on top of that freezing rain....I'll be damned if early this morning it started thundering and lightening!!!!!!

Had quite a bit of snow at the end of last week. We could use more, actually.

It's too cold to snow here. Last week it was almost shirtsleeve weather. Right now it's -31 C. Which is -24 F.

No, hourS. It sucked. And that's after I waited until 10 to leave in order to wait out the traffic.

Here in Minnesota it snowed about 8 inches yesterday and last night it got down to -21 F. That's without a wind chill factor!

It's snowing like a bastard here. I'm at school until 9:30 tonight and I fear driving home. This sucks because usually I don't sweat the snow but this is ricockulous!

You people inland, over there in Indiana and Illinois, you don't really have to go to work when it's like that, do you? How barbaric, if you do! Make sure you carry in your car, let's see, blankets, water, and cell phone. We don't want any Chewers being found frozen and dehydrated in their cars. And, seriously, I would think you might need a coffee can if you have to pee and you are stuck on the freeway.
