So, um, maybe I'm stupid, but I kinda wonder what's the point of asking us to point ou trolls if you're still gonna allow them to roam free and not gonna do anything about them. There's no way KilledbyDeath shouldn't have been banned 5 days ago.

HankKommit has been mentioned, but he seems to have turned around since he first started to post. I'd just keep one good eye on him, though.

KilledbyDeath turns a normal thread into a free for all. But others shouldn't feed him. If you know what I mean.

Hankkommit has actually been a productive member lately. KilledByDeath is King Troll.

It's not about intimidation, its about spamming the boards with topics that are nothing more than expletive filled tirades and homophobic slurs with no insight.

He's also a thread hijacker who obliterates anything resembling a good dialogue by insulting posters and spewing idiotic nonsens.

He's on my ignore list, but when threads devolve into back and forth wankery incited by this lackwit, the ignore list only helps so much.

FarrahK and HankKommit are so obviously trolls they might as well have it in their signatures.

nick, just out of curiosity, what do you do when someone posts the name of an alleged troll here or PMs you about it? do you wait until several other chewers complain about him/her, or do you just check out the troll's recent posts to verify?

The majority of the new people you let onto the boards are only here to cause problems.

It's even spilling over into previously quiet areas of the boards.

I think you should re-examine the process of opening the boards again.

He was a staple on AICN for a while (still could be) usually posting lengthy rants about Harry Knowles. Certainly someone with the same username, in any case.

I like how that thread started out as just the first paragraph, but then he felt compelled to go back and add all that good stuff afterwards, like it was an important point he forgot to include.

See, this is what I do not understand. Every other month we have some jackass come in try to 'save' us from the social depravity of CHUD.com or the malicious rule of Nick Nunziata, but always fail to recognize the hypocrisy of their efforts. People that have been here a few years feel neither forced to post on the boards or oppressed by Nick's extremely fair user policy, yet we are continuously told that we suffer both. I deem it only fair to steal a quote from Bill Hicks in this case when I say 'You are free to do what we tell you.', which is exactly how most of these trolls come across. They attack and insult us under the guise of enlightenment, and then try to blame their attacks on the very people they are trying to 'save'.

I've heard CHUD.com and AICN referred to as a 'clique' when these trolls attempt to explain their motivations for ruining the environment. Much like life outside the boards, you just can't introduce yourself into a new social atmosphere and expect to have to the same rapport or be given the same level of respect as people who have been there for years. There are people who were new, but earned their piece by making intelligent and interesting posts. Not by assuming a prison style method of respect and calling out a veteran member of the boards, then expecting to assume their position in the hoard.

If you want to start a club for people that can't make it on the Internet, I suggest saving $20 and registering a domain for yourself. Then you and the other 30 people in the world that can't even pretend to be decent human beings, on the easiest medium of communication to conceal your negative personal traits, can live in perpetual disharmony and ironically create the same milieu you are set to obliterate.

The fact that you responded touches me deeper than your father did you as a tender infant.
