I got something similar.

Such a weird expenditure of energy. Registering a raft of anonymous e-mail addresses. Registering for the message boards with yet another fake name. Maybe make a few almost-legitimate posts to make the grand reveal all the more surprising. And then quickly firing off a salvo of the same old juvenile insults.

And all it takes is one click of the mouse to ban them, maybe a whole minute if you want to delete the posts as well.

You've got to wonder about the mental health of people who'll put so much effort into something so pointless, so ineffective and so short-lived...over and over and over and over again.

Most sensible people would weigh up that effort-to-reward ratio and figure out that there are better things to do with your life than to dedicate so much time to attaining the lofty level of "minor inconvenience in the life of someone I never met".

I have to agree I don't undestand why people waste so much time and energy with crap like this.
At least your garden variety troll you can understand the motive: They like to stir up shit and get flame wars started so they can sit back and watch the fun. But what is the point of sending complete strangers private messages?
