I'll gladly help you out with the Bailey's!

And girls, as the boys have proven, this idea will never work until we get a girls-only forum.

A winning Lotto ticket, a full body massage, and a cognac. In that order, if you please.
I'm mixing Bloody Marys, Screwdrivers and warming the oils for massages.

I'll be at the back cabana area if anyone is interested.

If you come up, and I'm reading a magazine, then I am a dumbass for not paying attention to you. So feel free to hit me with a macadamia nut...they are on hand also...

Welcome, Ladies! As you can see we are overrun with cabana boys these days. As they are anxious to dote on us, I won't complain.

Kitty, order one of those winning lotto tickets for me too!
Yeah I'll take a Maker's Mark & Diet Coke w/a wedge of lime . . . I sun tan in the nude and require many spritzing's with cool water . . .

hey girls, are they cabana-boys well-trained here . . . or will have to whip out some discipline?

You ladies seen Hugh Jackman as Van Helsing??? drool . . . drool
post #77 of 225
We are well trained, we know better than that.

Although, I, for one, am not opposed to some more discipline.
I'm a trained masseur, incidentally, so whenever any of you lovely ladies you feel tense, feel free to to call

Okay Ladies, I have a confession to make. I'm not really that much of a girly-girl. Don't get me wrong, I wear make-up and like to wear frilly under-clothes...but I don't like a lot of other traditional girly things like getting my nails done or watching chick flicks. I would rather have a beer and watch Arnold blow something up. Am I alone in this? Speak up on how girly you are or aren't, Ladies of CHUD.
You are not alone, Sister!

I don't like chick flicks, and would much rather be watching wrestling than figure skating. I can understand (and sometimes even keep up) when guys go into "car talk mode." Hell, I don't even wear make-up.

Skirts and frilly underwear....well, those are some of my girlly weaknesses.
Hello.. I am a new girly to the boards.. But rarely...... okay never do I wear nail polish.. and I never been involved in a pillow fight.. Ughhh I do drink beer though.. mmmmm.. beer .....I always bring the beer.....

nice to meet you ladies...
Nice to meet you, Ichi!

*tosses a beer*

Where are those Cabana boys?!?!
Here. Please don't let my nail fungus dissuade you from trying one of the shrimp canapes. I made them with my own two hands.

Shall I now strip to the waist and dance to a kicky jungle beat for the group?
Ummmmm, I'll have to pass on the shrimp, Billz.....being a vegetarian and all.....yea....that's it!
Oh, come on, try one. I made some pungent cheese balls too, if that would be better. Man, that cheese gets under the nails!
I'm lactose intolerant, too. I swear!!!
Okay, I peeled some grapes. Eat up.
Umm, Thanks, Billz......
Hi, ladies. About how much of a Girly Girl I am or not...I was always a bit of a tomboy growing up, though that term seems to have gone by the wayside these days. One of my girlfriends is the epitome of a girly-girl, and she admits it. She's a fantastic knitter, and is not into doing hard, dirty yard work. My neighbors used to look at me with surprise because I would be covered in dirt, working like crazy to construct a landscape around the house, and loving it. I'd rather handle shrubs and trees than almost anything else. I just have this urge to build things sometimes. I call in a guy to help when there is something that is too heavy for me to move, otherwise, I'd rather do the job myself!
On the other side, I love hot baths and good-smelling things when it's time to go in! So, I guess I like a good balance in my life. Chick flicks bug me.
Hmm, difficult one. I pick and choose my girliness.

I don't watch romantic comedies much. Indeed, at all, unless there is something different about them that peaks my interest. I live in a world where stuff explodes or gets run through with swords.

I do like to have nice nails. I often do my nails whilst I'm chilling out watching stuff explode.

I love make-up - expensive make-up. It's a real vice.

I wear reasonably girly clothes. Oddly enough, I came to this late in life, cos as a teenager I used to look like a bag lady.

I don't do:

Boy bands
High heels (though I wish I could - I just feel ungainly in them)
Rock and roll
Aerobics
Beer
Soap operas
Reality TV
Women's magazines
Sport
"Just a salad."

I do do:

PS2
Cars
Frilly knickers
Punk
Expensive hair cuts and products
Drugs
Hanging out on the internet
Chocolate
Girly drinks and cocktails
And I have an enormous bath products habit, courtesy of Lush.
Which hair products do you use? I've been using Herbal Essences, but I have a ton of split ends...
At the moment I'm using the Lush solid shampoo Trichomania, but its very drying. That said, now that I'm hennaing and not dyeing my hair, I don't have the dryness problem that I did.

So, at the moment, I'm using that, a solid conditioner called Fuel, and a thing called "Girl Toys" from Toni and Guy hairdressers which you buy in the salon. That's like a gloss and fantastic, but about twelve quid. They do a Boy Toys, which I suspect is the same kind of thing only with a more manly smell.

All of the Toni and Guy products (the salon ones, the ones you buy off the shelves of the drug store aren't as good) are great, but the moisture maniac conditioner and shampoo are particularly good.

And remember to use a treatment at least once a week if your hair is splitting. And I never ever blowdry my hair. I never have. I towel-dry it and then leave it.

Also, the bad news is, you can't fix split ends, they must be cut off. So, the best thing is to bite the bullet and get your hair cut to the level where its absolutely not split, and then just take care of it - carefully, but also discretely if you don't want to be beaten up in the pub car park.

You were probably being sarcastic in the first instance.

But just in case...
Hey! I'm never ever sarcastic when talking about my hair...

See, getting it cut is really the last thing I want to do. I guess an inch or so wouldn't matter if it gets rid of them, but I don't want to have to go from long to short because of split ends.
The way to look at it is that split hair, long or short, is not going to fly as a concept.

Ask a barber how much he'd take off. They normally have a good eye for that kind of thing. It it's an inch or two, do it. I seem to remember your hair and it wasn't split all the way up to your ears. In fact, I don't remember noticing it was split at all.

Don't put it off though, as the split individual hair shafts will now *keep* splitting, all the way up to your scalp, until you snip them in a place that will arrest the damage.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Split ends suck.
Yikes. Well, as you remember my hair, you must realize why I'm so protective.

But I shall have to see. Does this mean I'm a girly girl now?
Not till you post a picture of yourself in twinset and pearls.
That'd be a no then. Unless it's Rocky...
Hey ladies, this is a hair question for you. I don't have straight hair. It's got like four cowlicks in it so lately I've been keeping it short but I have a life-long desire to have that shoulder-length mane. The question is, is there a product or a procedure that can straighten your hair? If so, how much, where, and how long does it last?
Oooh, I love yummy bath products. They make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside...

I'm quite careful of my hair, too, since it is very long. I don't blowdry, or use any styling products on it at all. Back when I had money, I used to buy all the expensive products. I was quite partial to Paul Mitchell products. Now that I'm broker than a joke, I use Pantene. It seems to do the job for me.

Charles, it's a good idea to go every eight to ten weeks and get your ends trimmed. I do. Your hair looked quite healthy, though.
