For the single men and women:

Are there certain "things" (namely things of an entertainment value) that you check to see if a prospective partner approve of? If so, what are they?

For me, it's the movies The Insider, LA Confidential, and Army of Darkness.

Movies are usually the test for me.


However, instead of Army of Darkness, it is Evil Dead II.

And if they have ever read another Chuck Palahniuk book besides Fight Club.

And if that girl has glasses... she wins.

Fight Club, LOTR, The Crow, Rock N Roll Nightmare, and Adult Swim, specifically Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Sealab 2021.

Though my girlfriend didn't like Rock N Roll Nightmare, a sin that is usually punishable by death, she's still awesome. And 4 out of 5 ain't bad.

Mine follows the line of music.

Understand that I think Robert Smith is God. If you don't like The Cure, you can just move along!

Second to Robert Smith is Trent Reznor.

Basically I want my significant other to understand my taste in music; be it punk, goth, industrial, alternative, techno, indie--whatever I listen to holds personal value.

Thankfully, my boyfriend listens to pretty much the same stuff I do, but he adds a little metal to the list....

It doesn't matter, really. Like Dre said, if she's smart, and cool, and likeable, that's it. I mean, my girlfriend absolutely hates JAWS, which is one of my top five favourite flicks. But that's not really going to make a difference to us, cause I still love her nonetheless.
