1 - Nazguls are MUCH more creepy

2 - getting to Rivendel in the book drags SO much.

3 - Cave Troll

4 - Lurtz

5 - Character seem to do things that make so much more sense in the movie than in the book.

it goes by quicker....but the books reign supreme this time. without them these movies wouldn't hold up nearly as well.

- Tom Bombadil
- reduced poetry and songs
- the book made me think Saruman looks like Christopher Lee, the movie showed me
