Shit. I completely forgot about that one! In the early stages of development, but it should be out by Thanksgiving/Christmas. It will be Online and Multiplayer enabled, too. Definititely one of the must-gets.

Good call.

The PC "Battle For Middle-Earth" (another EA game, but a Warcraft-like RTS game) is another promising one.

So, do you know how they're going to cover the entire trilogy? Will certain levels rom the last two games repeat, or will the entire thing be new?

"Battle For Middle-Earth" sounds cool. How's the "War in Middle-Earth" game? Looks like "Age of Empires."

I believe the "Trilogy" game coming last this year will be an entirely brand-new game. It won't contain the same exact levels from the TTT or ROTK games. It will just go back through the entire story of all three films again, but in different ways. Also, the Multiplayer and Online elements should add an incredible layer of play that the first two games never had.

Not really sure about "War of The Ring". It's a RTS game made by Vivendi, the same folks who made that "Hobbit" kids' game.

Wasn't the Hobbit made by Sierra?

Man, looking at Doom3....WOOOWEEE.

That is one awesome looking game...

Which reminds me, is there any online comprehensive story to all the Dooms? From Doom all through the different expansions?

I'm not sure, but DOOM 3 indeed looks amazing so far.

BTW, DeLude, I found that TENCHU will indeed have an online co-op mode. We can wreak shuriken havoc together!!!

well the most anticipated game for me is already out.

.Hack//Quarantine. This is the best series to come out in the last year. and the last disc is easily worth $50.

it comes with the last .Hack//liminality episode and .Hack//Gift. Talk about Hilarious!! .Hack//Gift is pure genius. And anime boobies and ass too.

Which reminds me, when did Final Fantasy games turn into obligatory T&A.

If it keeps up the good stories, doesn't that improve upon it?

Christ, that latest commercial for FFX2 is fucking embarrassing. Pop Teen Disco Queen sings bad Britney-Lite onstage and jumps around firing two pistols simultaneously! And grown men fawn all over this garbage. Sheesh.

Yeah, it really, really is. I had to hang my head in shame when my wife saw that commercial and asked if I had the game. She knew full well that I did, I think she just wanted yo hear me admit it. Doesn't exactly showcase the game very well.

And you know what's really bad...Koei is coming out with Samurai Warriors for PS2.

I know it'll be Dynasty Warriors in Japan but, really what more does a Gaijin like me need?
I know nothing about Final Fantasy, so someone please indulge me:

Why the hell is it called FFX2? Was the tenth version so great that it needed its own sequel, as opposed to just moving on to number eleven??

Yea it's a straight sequel. The first for a Final Fantasy game...

It's not necessarily "straight". Have you seen what the main male character looks like?
Come on now, it's been like that since FF7. There must be mountains of Cloud & Sephiroth fanfic's by now.

Driver 3 looks pretty amazing too, IGN.com just put a hands-on preview up. Check it out.
I totally agree with you on this. The short film that Ridley Scott did, "Run the Gauntlet ," comes out today, the 23rd. Iam really excited about this. I loved the first two in the series and can't wait for this, the third, to come out.

Hmmm

Now that is interesting.

Good Lord...

With Fable, Halo 2, and Starcraft Ghost coming out in June...I'm gonna have to keep my tax refund for that first week.
Does anybody know is Fable coming on the PC? I interest in the game but I not interest in getting the X-Box.
Nope, Fable is XBox exclusive. One of the first exclusives announced for the machine, in fact.

Damn!

2004 GameCube Games

Here's an article that IGN published about the most anticipated games for the Cube this year:

Looks like a great lineup!
