Free Cabin Fever Toque with DVD

Well hello there. I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere, so as a public service announcement, I'd like to point out that Future Shop is giving away free Cabin Fever toques with the purchase of the DVD. I don't know if this is in-store or only online (I ordered online), or if it's available at other stores, but it's pretty friggin sweet. It's "while supplies last" so order it NOW. Oh yeah, their address is http://www.futureshop.ca , and I'm not sure if they ship to anywhere other than Canada (but hey, only Canadians need toques anyway right?).

ok wtf? Why would The Simple Life get a DVD release? Did anyone even watch that stupid crap? Ugh. Meanwhile I have yet to hear anything about DVD releases for Dead Like Me (bite me...I love that show) or Carnivale. This is a sad society we live in. God I hate reality TV.[/rant]

hello? They ccertainly are not a Yarmulka because a Yarmulka isn't warm. Skul caps are normally hard, like Merlin in Excalibur wore.

I think someone was unhappy hockey seasonw as over and decided to fire one up. So any word they couldn't find right away in their frazzled short term memory was henceforth referred to as a toque.

toque being a winter hat.

ive already got one of these hats. sure its just a black toque with the cabin fever logo sewed into the front. but damn if it doesn't keep my head warm in this cold canadian winter. hot little items too, everyone at the future shop I work at wants one, but they ain't getting one.

Oh and I got my DVD today, and there was no toque with it. So all this commotion has been for NOTHING.

First time I ever went to Canada, I bought a touque as a souvenier. I got it from Roots, which is Canadian for "The Gap". Luckily, Roots takes Canandian money (and I was there a few years ago) so with the exchange rate and all, I got it free. I wore it to the tobacconista where I proceeded to smoke a cuban cigar. Then I had a Molsen and ate some fries with gravy and cheese curds. Later that day, I had the best Thai meal I have ever eaten. The next day, I went up 120 stories into a tower with a glass floor. There was no urine on the floor (at least not when I got there). Then I went to the Air Canada center where I watched Vince and the dinos lose to Marbury and the Suns, by 1 point at the buzzer. It was a great trip. Even if it's cold, I like Canada.

this was all a true story.

Ah, Poutine ... the supposed "official Canadian dish". I never touch the stuff myself.

& on the subject .... I found it kind of hilarious that all the people at the Canadian area of Epcot at Disneyworld were wearing red plaid lumberjack costumes and they even had a Roots store prominantly displayed. What Canadian shops at Roots regularly anyway? I think it's a outrageously priced store for tourists ... but that's just me.

I forgot about this: the first time I saw LOTR, it was in a little town just southwest from Toronto. I can't remember the name though. Huge screen; excellent sound. Blew me away. It was a great trip all around.

The second time I went to Canadia (back to Toronto), I had more cigars, less Molsen, and visited Niagara Falls for the first time.

Finally, on my third trip, I took my wife with me. We visited Niagara again (in March). It was so cold the spray was hail. It hurt to look at the falls. But I made her wait to see it after dark before I'd let her leave. I've never been so cold in my whole life.

We also saw "The Lion King".
