From Newsweek: Curse of the Blair Witch

I figured Heather Donahue at least would be able to get work, but I saw her on one Outer Limits episode and that was it. The other guys, well, that couch ain't gonna move itself, Mike.

I'm still surprised that Heather Donahue didn't get a few good offers. Her performance was by far the best in BLAIR WITCH.

The amount the movie made at the box office, these guys should be set for life.

That is addressed in the article. The fdirectors and producers eventually got 5 million $ each, the actors less than 1 million $. You have to realize that they sold the film to Artisan and only got a small percentage of the money they made with the film.

It says in the article they got "only about $1 million each." Hell, if I got half that I'd be sitting at home tapping out short stories and novels right now...instead of sitting at work, tapping out msgboard posts...

Maybe furniture moving is just a hobby for Mike.

Heather in Taken

I think Heather did a good job in Taken. What killed that mini series for me was the little girls parents. God they were annoying

and BTW I fucking LOVED Blair Witch II

I know a couple of the people from the movie, Gregg Hale and Ben Rock. I did a day on Gregg's movie, last summer. Ben was the art director and has movied on to doing his own stuff out in LA. They are both really nice guys.

I think Book of Shadows: Blair Witch II wipres the floor with bthe first film and is one of the best horror films of that year!

I am guessing it was "Say Yes Quickly.",but at the time they were calling it @lien. Also to clarify something, Ben Rock was the Art Director on "TBWP" not on the film that I worked on with Gregg. Ben used to be a make up effects artist and that is how I met him.

Hey, I was fucking shocked when that chick from "Book of Shadows" showed up in Woody Allen's "Anything Else" and the "Texas Chainsaw" remake. I guess the secret of surviving a "Blair Witch" movie - unlike MOST slasher films - is to show y'er tits.

Heather Donahue was in some God awful teen movie with Freddie Prinze Jr and Jason Biggs. Didn't see the whole movie, but I saw clips of her from it. She does this horrendous channeling of Shelly Long that is both annoying and frightening in it's authenticity. Watch her be Dianne for a few minutes and you'll thank God she isn't getting work.

Heather D was fine in Taken. Of course, by the time she was a main character, the story had become less interesting. I thought her character's relationships with her father and Matt Frewer were well done, thanks to her acting.

As for the Hot Redhead from the TCM remake, I now feel better knowing that she's the Hot Redhead from BW2. I'm not sure why, but I feel reassured that I've noticed her hotness before... and that she's still getting work.
