I totally agree with Kurt Russell. I loved him in Dark Blue, and I am really looking forward to Miracle coming out. He's a hockey fan, and I think he'll do a great job as Herb Brooks.

Monica Bellucci is overrated. Her face looks like she has been standing outside in a sandstorm her whole life.
You sure you're not thinking of Robert Davi ?

Because her face is all her talent is made up of afterall.

Watch more films.

Just saying, Chris:

Robert Davi is debris-torn-face man.

Bellucci is so much more than just a pretty face.

This guy should watch more pictures - specifically L'Apartament, Brotherhood Of The Wolf and Irreversible - she's like an ultra-vixened Juliette Binoche
post #17 of 35
I wanted to see Irreversible but never did. Is it really good? I heard it was disturbing and dark, which suits my tastes every now and then.
LE PACTE DES LOUPS... I'll defend that movie to my grave.

Ah alright, was just trying to figure out if that was what you were implying. She does get sold on her face alot I will admit but then you find she brings a lot more to the table.

You are not alone Charles, not alone at all.

Hard to take but I found it quite impacting. And that was without the English dialouge.

Disturbing and dark is one way of describing it.
Seriously, Irreversible is very dark and very disturbing and not for everyone. But to see it, is to see some very commited filmmaking and performing no matter what you think of the picture's subject.

Bellucci was maybe the most severe casualty of The Matrix sequels as so many people now know her solely as the rubber-dressed extra who got to snog Keanu for, like, 2 minutes.

Hopefully, The Passion Of The Christ will go some way to readdressing that.
Hell, her work (and work ethic) were impressive in Tears of the Sun.

I'm especially impressed that she stopped kissing Willis and said this was totally against her character in the movie.

Bellucci fans should check out an underseen flick from 2000 titled Under Suspicion. It's a nice little mystery/suspense flick she did with Gene Hackman and Morgan Freeman.
Yeah, that was the first movie I've seen her in..

"Damn she better get a lot more work."

Still not enough.
This last post was brought to you by the years 1987, 1990 and 1994...

Seriously, get Albert Pyun onboard to direct and that cast would probably highlight the best Mortal Combat picture ever conceived.
I agree, since James Remar killed that franchise.
I wish Jurgen Prochnow and Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa were in more films these days. Or a buddy action film with those 2 guys in the starring roles.
Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa...you know, the script I wrote has a part written for him-The deceitful Yakuza boss. Which is pretty much most of his career.
PROCHNOW. HIROYUKI-TAGAWA.
RISING SUN II: CHOKIN' MORE WHORES
This summer, a hero will rise.

You reminded me. Also that guy from Willy Wonka- the professor who says "Good lad, pour!" I like him. He should be in more films, if he isn't dead.
The chemistry teacher ?

Dead. But in a Krull, Up The Chastity Belt and Rentadick - so not a life wasted.

Wicked Idiot Face too
