Great interview, chief. Franklin's upcoming projects all sound pretty interesting as well.

And by all that is serene and holy, Sanaa Lathan is one sexy lady...

I wasn't impressed at all by the trailer for Out of Time, but this interview makes it sound much more interesting. Wouldn't it be great if trailers were made to excite and intrigue instead of just pander to the MTV viewers?

Great interview. It really surprises me how much power the marketing departments have, and how much evil is done in the name of Test Screening Results.

"We feel the ending is too depressing. Perhaps instead Rick could shoot Victor, marry Ilsa and take over as the head of the Nazi resistance?"

I'm glad people like Carl Franklin are starting to see the downside to trailers that act as a featurette.
