Does anyone have any more news on the Blind Dead films? I just got another Brentwood 4-pack (Horror Rises from the Grave) and Zombie Flesh Eater was one of the films. I had forgotten that this was one of the Blind Dead titles, so that brings my ownership of Blind Dead movies to 3. It looks like the transfer was fair, but AB's transfer of the first 2 films was way better, plus in widescreen. ZFE was the weakest of the 3 that I've seen but the Knights Templar still look pretty ominous on that ghost ship. I liked the sets, but the use of miniatures was woefully obvious. Also, when they throw the WOODEN coffins overboard, they sank. It would take a hell of a lot of weight to make crates that size sink. Oh well, they got away with it in Creepshow, too.
Anyway, I liked ZFE enough, especially considering no more than what I paid for it. It would have cost me the same price to rent 2 movies so this setup isn't too bad for inexpensively ading movies to your collection.
Any thoughts on ZFE?
