You know, like the two guys in JAWS? It'll be fun and it should tide us over until I finally start that "CHUD MSG Board Penis Comparison Thread" ...
Anyway, the oldest scar I have is from when I fell of my bike at age 4, almost 20 years ago. Practically skinned my face in the process but that healed without a trace of the previous damage after a few months. The thing that has lasted is a scar from where I split my upper lip neatly (and oddly symetrically) in half up to my nose. Cute scar, or so I've been told.
Then there are a bunch much more recent ones from when I was into self mutilation, starting with 14 when I cut a "X" into my left arm. About five years later I made two long and deep cuts on that same left arm, 5 shorter but equally deep ones on my upper right arm and I cut a triangle into my lower left arm before removing the skin inside said triange and digging out some of the flesh. Pretty sick, I'm sure most of you will agree and the scars didn't always look good but after a bunch of years they tend to fade a bit and I dig them new.
Around the same time as I made those cuts I accidentally (I swear) drove my bike (those damn bikes!) into a car, banged my hand on its hood rather severely and got a nice bloody gash above my left eye. Not the most visible scar as it's mostly hidden by my eyebrow but I remember walking home from the site of the accident pushing my wrecked bike and with blood running down my face, thinking how Cronenberg (as in CRASH) the whole thing was.
Then, some more self-mutilation as I somehow thought it'd be cool to burn myself. So one early morning, very drunk and very pissed off, I set fire to the left leg of my jeans and let it burn up to my knee before putting it out. People were looking at me funny though I have no idea why. Anyway, some cool damage was done and scar tissue acquired.
A week or two later i ground a cigarette out on the top of my right hand (for a change) and while I fucking hated that scar in the first few months, it looks pretty great these days.
I only regret that I haven't had any surgery so far. Not even an appendix removed, which sucks. I know some old guy who had a heart translantation ... you should see that guy's scars, he's like Frankenstein's Monster. Too cool!
Anyway, I guess scars can be like tatoos in that they tell stories and bring back memories.
I showed you mine, now you show me yours ...
