Well-tread, sure. I dunno...normally I'm a big fan of kicking people when they're down, but I just kinda feel sorry for Rath. It's obvious that there's a lot of heavy shit going on in his life and he's not dealing with it too well. And although it's his own damn fault for taking the internet too seriously, and he really needs to learn to shrug off insults, it's also pretty obvious that what people say here *does* affect his life, at least to some small degree. So if he's having problems in real life and making fun of him will only make those problems worse, this just seems like bad taste. Fucking with people on the internet is fun. Fucking up their real lives just for some laughs...not so fun.
Again, I know what you're gonna say..."It's his own fault for taking this shit too seriously. If he can't let these insults go, he shouldn't be here in the first place." And maybe you're right, and maybe he does deserve a lot of the shit he gets...but I still feel sorry for him. College can fuck with your head something awful, and even though I don't know the details of his life, I've probably been there before. It can be a shitty, depressing, lonely time, and if he gets some small amount of happiness from these boards, it seems shitty to try to take that away from him. Just my opinion.
I know you were probably just having fun, and I'm sure I'm overreacting because I'm drunk and Lost in Translation depressed the hell out of me. But oh well. It happens.
